The Annual In-Person CBGL Institute Is Back!

by Torey Siebart

As you may already know, after a two-year hiatus, Amizade’s travel programming is finally back! Since late February, we’ve welcomed volunteers back to Ecuador, the Navajo Nation, Pittsburgh, Puerto Rico, and Washington DC.

Along with this great news, we’re excited to share the relaunch of the annual in-person Community-Based Global Learning Collaborative Institute.

For over a decade, Amizade has collaborated with colleagues to host a global service-learning institute that reimagines community-based learning and connects individuals who are dedicated to intentionally-designed programming. Together, we contribute to more just, inclusive, and sustainable futures.

This year’s Institute will take place at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY on June 2nd and 3rd. To attend, please register here. To learn more about it, check out their website here

This will be an intentionally small cohort experience that discusses best practices in community-based learning and ethical engagement, fosters critical reflection on your own institution and programs, conducts workshops with supportive colleagues, and more. If you’re interested, please register soon to secure your spot!
