  5. I have an idea, but I’m not sure how to turn it into a full project proposal, can Amizade help?
    • Yes! We want to make sure that everyone with an idea is prepared to submit a good proposal. You can find plenty or resources to help you turn your idea into a proposal on our resources page.
    • You can also contact us with questions or to set up a short meeting to talk through your idea.
  6. Will Amizade help me with my fundraising match?
    • Yes! Accepted project proposals will become part of the 2018 GSAA cohort and will have access to additional resources and training, including strategies and best practices for fundraising and crowdfunding.
    • Projects will also have their own project page on the Amizade website including ways for supporters to donate directly to your project.
  7. Can my project take place in a community that is not my own?
    • You are allowed to submit a project that serves a community that is not your own, including projects that take place in an Amizade site you have visited.
    • However, it is important to note that these proposals will be closely evaluated to ensure that you have community buy-in and require that applicants answer additional questions on the application including why YOU are uniquely qualified to implement this project and who in the community you will partner with.
  8. What expenses/ costs are allowable on my budget?
    • While there are minimal restrictions on allowable costs, efficient and appropriate use of funds will be evaluated as part of the application.
    • University Indirect Costs are not an allowable expense.
  9. Can I submit more than 1 proposal?
    • There is no limit to how many proposals you can submit. However, we strongly encourage you to submit 1 strong proposal rather than multiple in order to demonstrate your commitment to the project. Multiple proposals will be evaluated knowing that the applicant submitted more than 1.
