1. When is the application deadline?
    • All proposals must be submitted online by July 31, 2018
  2. Do I have to submit my application online through the Amizade website?
  3. Can I see the full application and questions before I start working on the online application?
  4. Who is eligible to apply for the GSAA?
    • Anyone in the Amizade network can submit a project proposal
      • Students, faculty, group leaders, and anyone who has participated in an Amizade program
      • Community members from our partner sites around the world and in the United States including Site Directors, partner organizations, facilitators, host families, and presenters.
      • Not sure if you qualify? Ask us!
  5. Will Amizade help me with my fundraising match?
    • Yes! Accepted project proposals will become part of the 2018 GSAA cohort and will have access to additional resources and training, including strategies and best practices for fundraising and crowdfunding.
    • Projects will also have their own project page on the Amizade website including ways for supporters to donate directly to your project.
  6. Can my project take place in a community that is not my own?
    • You are allowed to submit a project that serves a community that is not your own, including projects that take place in an Amizade site you have visited.
    • However, it is important to note that these proposals will be closely evaluated to ensure that you have community buy-in and require that applicants answer additional questions on the application including why YOU are uniquely qualified to implement this project and who in the community you will partner with.
  7. Can I submit more than 1 proposal?
    • There is no limit to how many proposals you can submit. However, we strongly encourage you to submit 1 strong proposal rather than multiple in order to demonstrate your commitment to the project. Multiple proposals will be evaluated knowing that the applicant submitted more than 1.
