In 2019 Amizade decided to carry on BCA Study Abroad’s 60-year legacy. That decision came with a big opportunity for our organization: the opportunity to start an endowment fund to help us continue to grow and reach more people with our programming.
This endowment allows us to invest in Amizade’s future and provides funds every year to support the following equity-based initiatives:
Individual scholarships for underrepresented or low-income high school and college students.
Subsidized programming for groups of underrepresented or low-income high school and college students.
Subsidized programming for host communities to have reciprocal experiences.
Research and development
Research and development of global learning experiences that benefit underrepresented or low-income young people.
Student or community-led projects that have the potential to positively impact Amizade’s network.
Thanks to this new endowment fund, Amizade is now able to accept legacy gifts!
If you would like to leave a legacy that will sustain global service-learning now and in
the future, please contact our Communications and Development Coordinator Melissa Nix
at firstname.lastname@example.org to start planning your gift.
