Carlow Day of Service

Every year, students from the University of Carlow participate in the Mercy Service Day which connects non-profit organizations to student volunteers. On September 22, twelve Carlow University art students and a staff member painted a banner for Amizade that conveys peace within a community through volunteerism. Said one student,

I feel that it’s important to participate in a project like this because onlookers need to see a visual presence and a reminder of service in our community

Amizade plans to use the banner outside of their headquarters to not only showcase the talents of the students but to illustrate the students’ and Amizade’s united message.
