What happens after I submit my application?

  1. Have you submitted your online application?
    • If not, find it here.
  2. Have you submitted your additional application materials?
    • Please be sure to submit the additional application materials to Amizade via email (YAPSA@amizade.org) or mail (305 34th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201) by February 13th, 2017.
      1. Personal Reference Form  from a supervisor or colleague who knows you well.  Ask the person to complete this form, and return to Amizade via email (YAPSA@amizade.org) or mail (305 34th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201) by February 13th, 2017.
      2. Resume/ CV. After you have submitted your online application, please submit your Resume/ CV to Amizade via email (YAPSA@amizade.org) or mail (305 34th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201) by February 13th, 2017.
      3. Photo of Yourself. Please send a recent photo of yourself to Amizade via email (YAPSA@amizade.org) or mail (305 34th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201) by February 13th, 2017.
    • You will receive an email confirmation once your application is complete (when ALL required documents are received).
  3. What happens next? 
    • All complete applications will be reviewed by our selection committee. Following the initial review, all applicants will receive an email notification informing them whether or not they have been invited to the interview stage of the application process.
    • Applicants selected for an interview will be invited to schedule interviews in March. Following the interviews, 12 youth and 2 adult finalists will be selected and notified. Alternates for both youth participants and adult mentors will also be chosen.
    • All applicants who attended the interviews will be notified, whether or not they have been selected.
