4th Annual Water Walk

Please join Amizade, this weekend- April 9th and 10th- for the 4th annual Water Walk in Pittsburgh, PA and Morgantown, WV. This annual event raises awareness about global water issues in addition to funds for Amizade’s water initiatives in Tanzania. Water Walk participants will carry buckets of water as they walk a 2 mile route in solidarity with the 1.1 billion people around the world who do not have access to safe water.
The 4th Annual Water Walk will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 in Pittsburgh and on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 in Morgantown. For more information on the event, and to join us, visit the Water Walk Website.
One in six people worldwide lack access to clean water, what if that one was you? How far would you walk for water?
How would your life change if you had to begin every day by collecting your own water?
