Application Process
Your completed application will be reviewed within 2 weeks of receipt at the Amizade Office and you will receive an email with the decision.
Once accepted into a program, participants receive enrollment information and program documents to review and complete. The $100 non-refundable program deposit is required upon acceptance to confirm your participation in the program.

*In respect and for the protection of Amizade’s community partners, all individual volunteers are required to complete a background check before departing on an Amizade sponsored program. All reports must be dated within 6 months prior to your placement. Amizade uses a local HR service called Justifacts to complete all background checks. The cost of this background check is $40 for all individual volunteer applicants, with the exception of New York residents, who will be charged $100 to cover all NY state background check fees. Please complete the Notification and Authorization Waiver and return a signed copy to Katie Baucco at katie@amizade.org or through fax at 757-257-8358 so that your background check can be completed. If you have had a similar check completed in the past 6 months and would like it to be used in place of the Justifacts background check, please email the documents to katie@amizade.org for consideration.
