Bolivia 10th Anniversary Program
August 5-18, 2007
For ten years, Amizade has been busy working
on various projects in Bolivia. We have
successfully completed a medical clinic
renovation and a full facility orphanage and
are currently working on completing a high
school. For the past three years volunteers
have been hard at work, contributing to the
construction of the school. Join us this
summer for this project and be part of its
completion. Participants will have many
opportunities to experience the richness of
the Bolivian Andean culture and take part in
local and national festivities.

Montana 10th Anniversary Program

July 22-29, 2007
Amizade, in partnership with the Forest
Service, is proud to sponsor our 10th
Anniversary Volunteer Program in Montana.
Volunteers are coming together to volunteer
at the historic OTO Dude Ranch to work on
projects that will maintain and preserve this
unique piece of American history.
Participants will stay at the historic ranch
and have many opportunities to experience the
beauty of Yellowstone National Park, cook
outs, campfires, and local activities!

Brazil Volunteer Program

July 15-28, 2007
Join Amizade in the Amazon and contribute to
the well being of children. Volunteers will
help construct a community center for the
Pastoral de Menor, an organization that was
founded in 1988 to combat the ever growing
number of street children in Santarém,
Brazil. The Pastoral provides vocational
courses, counseling, and recreational
activities for over 1,000 children. By
constructing additional satellite centers,
even more children will be reached.
Participants will have the opportunity to
experience the Amazon culture, a rainforest
reserve, local markets and much more.

Jamaica Volunteer Program

July 21- August 4, 2007
Experience the heart of a local Jamaican
community! Volunteer for the Association of
Clubs Summer Camp and spend two weeks living
with a Jamaican family. Summer camp will
host approximately 200 children between the
ages of 5-16. Volunteers are needed to
assist with a wide range of camp activities
including computer and video training, arts &
crafts, drama, reading classes, sports and
games, conflict resolution sessions, personal
and dental hygiene classes, motivational
talks, parenting workshops, film shows, and
sessions on the history of Jamaica.
Participants will also have the opportunity
to experience various cultural and
recreational activities and will spend time
on the beautiful Jamaican beaches.
