Housing: Single room bunk houses styled after traditional Navajo Hogans; private room accommodations are also available

Travel Highlights: Program includes talks on Navajo history and culture, opportunity to sample traditional Navajo foods, a visit to the Grand Canyon, and other local events and opportunities

Program Description: This program centers on tutoring Navajo children and learning about Navajo life and culture. You’ll support classroom teachers during the day while learning more about contemporary Navajo experience and history during the evening. You’ll have opportunities to visit and hike in some of the most starkly beautiful areas in the United States, you’ll experience local foods, and you’ll learn a great deal about a frequently under-emphasized and under-reported part of the American experience.
