Itinerary for a Two Week Program
Sunday -
Welcome volunteers to Cochabamba. Housing provided
at Casa de Retiros in Vinto. We will have time to
get settled in our rooms and rest. We will have an
introduction, orientation and lunch. The afternoon will
be free. Dinner will be provided.
Monday -Thursday
Breakfast will
be served Monday through Friday between 7:30 am to
7:50 am. Raul Ramirez, our Trufi driver, will pick
us up at 8:00 am and drive us to "Hogar de Niños
Inmaculada Concepción de Vinto" to begin
the construction project.
Lunch will be served from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
We will have time to relax (to take a nap as Bolivians
do) until 2:30 pm when Raul will pick us up and
take us to the worksite again.
Dinner will be served at approximately 6:30 pm. After
dinner, we will have free time. Options include going
for a walk (no later than 7:30 pm), visiting small towns
with Jean Carla or staying back and resting.
Thursday will include a 4:00 pm visit to Quillacollo – Virgen
de Urkupiña.
Friday -
Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am. We will
go to Cochabamba City for the weekend. We will stay
at Hostal Jardin and visit "Museo Arqueológico" at
10:00 am. We will have lunch and visit the La Cancha
open-air market. Dinner will then be served.
Saturday Free time.
Sunday -
At 7:00 am, we will depart to visit Incallajta
Inca Ruins; approximately travel time is 3 hours by
Trufi. At 4:00 pm, we will then go back to Casa de Retiros
in Vinto, have dinner and rest.
Monday - Thursday

On Thursday after work we will have a farewell party
with the children, masons and other people that shared
with us at the Hogar in Vinto. There will be opportunities
to take pictures.
Friday -
Travel to Cochabamba City at 09:00 am and stay
for the weekend at Hostal Jardin. Visit "Cristo de
la Concordia" that has a spectacular view of Cochabamba.
We will have lunch and free time. We will share a special
dinner with the masons, our Trufi driver and their families.
Saturday Free time.
Sunday -
We'll leave the Hostel to travel to the airport.

- During the week we will have some speakers-guests at Casa de Retiros to share with us Bolivia history, culture, etc.
Suggestions for Free Time -
Visit Patiño’s Palace (Cultural Center).
Tours in English: Weekdays 5:30 pm, Saturday 11:30 am
Visit Cochabamba’s Downtown: Main Square, the Cathedral,
other churches, and museums.
Hike to Parque Tunari (must be at least 2 people) with
a guide.
A full day tour to Circuito del Valle small towns
