All Amizade programs are based at our community partnership sites located throughout the world. Volunteers can join an upcoming program or Amizade can arrange a program for your group.
Global Service-Learning Programs are for college students who wish to participate in an enriching program that combines the best of experiential education, inter-cultural travel and community-focused volunteering.
“How can my volunteer service really make a difference?”Short-term service projects recognize that people who have the means, energy, and drive to serve a community abroad also have commitments that fill their time. The option to volunteer abroad during vacation time, breaks from school, in-between careers, or at retirement makes the opportunity flexible.
Over the years, short-term volunteer projects produce long-term results. Through the work of Fundação Esperança in Brazil, street children now have centers for vocational skills, education, and places to play. For over 10 years, Amizade volunteers in short-term projects contributed piece by piece to the building of this vital and thriving organization.
